A project pitch for Fulton County, GA. We conducted a competitive design analysis of competing major city civics applications and, via tools like Statista and App Annie, reviewed user engagement patterns across government websites and private services like Nextdoor to identify a key set of features that would bolster resident engagement with city services— keeping them informed of regulatory changes for drivers licenses, or photo reporting of illegal dumping and infrastructure issues and helping pet owners register and recover their lost pets.

A legacy of poorly maintained software had contributed to a general distrust and dislike of government-based websites and apps, and we were uniquely positioned to deliver a high quality cross-platform experience to strengthen community relations while delivering rich demographic data to local governments to aid in decision making. After several meetings with the Fulton County board, budgetary issues forced a temporary stay on project development.
